The Creditor And The Plastic Duckie

This video was posted as a comment to one of the financial blogs that I occasionally read. In my rush to copy the embedded link, and all of the HTML troubles I had with it, I forgot which blog I got it from.
Sorry, No Hat Tip For You.
It's a shame because this is one of the most amusing and insightful explanations as to why China keeps buying our debt. No PHD's in Economics theories here, just plain old common sense on how to make money in any situation.

  1. great video, but if the junkie is printing money in the basement and buys commodities and stocks in different places ,using the producer as a tool to put his money in to circulation?
no doubt paper is easier to make than plastic

  2. If the junkie is printing money in his basement soon a plastic duck will cost $2 and so on. Until one day it will take a wheelbarrow full of the junkies money to buy a plastic duck or a loaf of bread. See the Vermeer republic circa 1929.
